This gorgeous concert ukulele from Kala has cedar's destinctive sweet, rich tone from the solid top while acacia brings a darker clarity of tone - the two woods combined have a beautiful, harmonically complex sound with great projection. This wood choice also means the model supports a low-G tuning set up very well really bringing out a strong, full and highly resonant bass end. Strung with Aquila Nylgut strings, with a guitar-style slotted headstock, tuning is easy and reliable. The Padauk rosette and binding ties together the more reddy tones in the rosewood fingerboard and mahogany neck with the cedar and acacia tonewoods.
