James Music, known locally as " Y Stiwdio Gerdd" has been established for over 30 years and is one of the largest independent musical instrument retailers in Wales. We are a real shop with a 5,000sq ft showroom spread over 2 floors and a dedicated team of trained staff who are always ready to help, whether it is at our Carmarthen premises or through our online store. We sell instruments, not just boxes, and can offer a complete, honest service which is second to none.
Our town centre store is full of musical instruments and sheet music, with a guitar room containing hundreds of guitars ready to test. Also on our first floor there is an electric piano and keyboard area, together with our drums showroom and bass department. We also have a complete range of Brass and Woodwind instruments, stocking industry leading brands like Yamaha, Trevor James, P.Mauriat, Buffet, Selmer and Yanagisawa. All of these instruments are available to test, simply contact us to arrange an appointment.
In addition, we rent out almost any musical instrument, including drum kits, guitars, pianos, violins, trumpets, saxes, clarinets, flutes and P.A systems. Pop down to see our range of rental equipment and you can walk out of the store the same day, ready to start playing!
Do you need your instrument set-up or repaired? We have a workshop instore where we are able to set up all stringed instruments in addition to minor brass and woodwind repairs.
